8 Lives Left - Real Florida power pop. The new cats on the scene, they're starting with their own open mic night tour, (neat idea), and we expect great things from these tasty players. Featuring our old jamming buddy, Bill Massey.

Baby Blues & the No Attitude Band - More of our extended musical family, their own unique style of blending Austin, Texas and New Orleans styles of Cajun music wraps together Rockabilly, Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues, and even every now and then a touch of Texas Swing into a blend that audiences are going wild over. Sponsored by Zildjian and Premier Drums.

blueMERIDIAN - One of Orlando's top modern rock bands, this award winning sound has been rocking O-town for quite a while, though I can never tell if they've broken up or not, because despite what I hear, they keep coming back!

Brand New Jalopy - These cats are retro-rockin' with an older style reminiscent of the '80s singing the praises of fine chicks and hot cars, or is it the other way around? Featuring the very cool drummer, Jalopy Joe, (dig his style!) Rock 'n' Roll, baby!

Toni Brown Band - Now an occasional Floridian, Toni Brown brings some old school Dead sensibilities and "ethreal folk" with her from the land of Relix Magazine, the #1 guide to the jamband scene nationally. Welcome to FL, Toni!

Bughead - Great Orlando original music. These guys combine many music styles with a lot of character. Great talent.

The Burlington Breeze Project - Unfortunatly, this band is no more, but Daytona Beach used to jam with these eclectic cats keeping the love alive. Great guitarist! Great music! Great fun! Gonna miss 'em...

Dawn Catron - Sweet funky, bluesy and jazzy songbird, (or "nightbird"), who's played with a multitude of jazz greats in NY and has even worked with the legendary Allen Toussaint in New Orleans. We're glad to have her around!

Cazzy's Alien Blues - Move over Joe Satriani, "alien blues" has a new muse. This guy once owned Jimi Hendrix's guitar strap, (the one used at Woodstock), and SOLD IT! I can only ask why...

Coyotes & Towndogs - Country swinging rockabilly or "folk-a-billy" is what these guys play and our paths seem to keep crossing between here and DeLand, (where they're from). Good people and great music from a great, little town.

Derek & the Slammers - Good-time, fun-loving rock 'n' roll party band that has been rockin' Florida FOREVER. Derek plays a mean fiddle, among other things.

Les Dudek - One hot session player who's been kicking around since the 70's and has played with the likes of The Allman Brothers, Boz Scaggs, Steve Miller, Stevie Nicks and even Cher! He's our brother, having helped inspire us in our youth, and one of the best players I've ever known. He's the real deal!

The Eightfold Way - Some old friends in an "original band "that happens to play some kickass covers". Featuring Scottish Bob and Jet Zaleski, some great music from some great friends...

The Fat Americans - Formerly The Learys, these cats have been laying down their groovy, 60's influenced rock 'n' roll for our growing jamband scene, dedicated to the preservation of the "Hippy culture". Another great band name, methinks.

Fresh Progression - More Gainesville transplants, these cats have a surprisingly strong Orlando following and now they've come home. They blend roosty rock and blues with a touch of reggae and with the lap steel, Mofro comes to mind. Great stuff!

Dave Fiester and The Legendary Groove Monsters - Legendary Florida blues. These guys are just what the name says, monsters!

Florganism - My favorite damn band in Orlando! A power trio featuring Kris Gruda, Matt Lapham and Rion Smith, this is a monster of a groove band! Watch out for these cats!

Bing Futch - Orlando's independent-music community's own Bing Futch has his fingers in a multitude of projects all in the name of music. Writer, reporter, philosopher, poet, musician, DJ, comedian, and critic, Bing more than deserves the respect he gets around here. Keep up with him if you can!

Gargemel! - You won't believe this band. I don't believe this band. Awesome music with some incredible talent. These guys specialize in blowing minds away. What a show!

Jeff Howell - "Jeff, you suck!", or so he says, but we love him. By far, the funniest man in music, or the drunkest (we can never tell). One man, one Orlando legend: it's Jeff Howell. You just have to see him to understand. Also catch him on the radio as one of The Monsters of the Midday on Real Radio 104.1.

Hugo - Check out some cats who still believe that a serious groove, killer melodies and a fat sound are the only ways to represent their music. Featuring, of course, Hugo, a cool guy well-educated in the funk.

Jackie Jones - Florida's own jazz diva, with a voice as sweet or saucy as she wants to be. One of our favorite talents. We love this woman!

jUNKIE RUSH - Another Kow spinoff, this is what Bobby Koelble been doing since then. I love how they manage to get groovin' and rockin' at the same time! Amazing musicians! Great stuff!

Kow - They were a monster funk/rock band and occasionally reunite for powerhouse shows at Will's Pub. If you get the chance to hear these guys, GO!!

Kynda - We're gonna miss these guys... They were on the forefront of our small, yet growing jamband scene, Kynda changed their name from 4:20 a few years back and hit the road with their deliciously tasty grooves, letting the world know of Orlando jams.

The Legendary JC's - Formerly The Joint Chiefs, there's a lot of talk surrounding this band. A sort of super group from local bands in Orlando currently hitting the road HARD, musicianship abounds in this group, led by Eugene Snowden, one of Orlando's top entertainers. A must see!

Mohave - Eclectic Southwestern Americana right here in Florida? It's another project from the ever-present Bing Futch. Ever heard a mountain dulcimer? These guys have... A special brand of "feel good" music, they are a real treat to enjoy.

The Moondogs - Another great Florida blues band past. Whatever happened to Timmy K. and these guys?

Moore Than Jazz - Steve Moore and crew have been Orlando's answer for jazz & more for more than 10 years. No stranger to festivals, clubs, private events, etc... , he's a hard-working, talented musician in a "live smooth jazz & more" combo "that works with you".

Naked Head - More eclectic behavior from Bing, this project defies categorization with every song. You have to hear it to understand... Great stuff!

David Rankin - Check out the original Groovebone and former VonRay guitarist and his new band, Downstem. Powerful pop music with incredible talent to back it up, David Rankin knows how to make it happen, and probably will soon. Rock on, brother!

Rick Richbourg - Here's an alternative to alternative music with his "explicit melodic exposure" and "kickin' guitar jams". This jazz influenced veteran of "beer-land" has some cool music to enjoy. Check it out!

The Ron & Dave Acoustical Experience - It was a Monday night tradition... Ron & Dave explored the meaning of "sharing the groove" on Mondays at The Cricketer's Arms for six long years.

Sarasota Slim - a.k.a. Gene Hardage, he's one of the best blues guitarists I ever saw. He's been kickin' it around the globe, but calls the Tampa area his home. He's not famous, but he should be.

The S.E.A.D. - It stands for the sun, the earth, the atmosphere and the dream. These cats take improvisation to some groovy levels. Featuring key members from Daytona's defunct Burlington Breeze Project, these guys can keep up with the best of them. Highly recommended jams!

Sonar - More new jams in town with an interesting combination of melodic pop with adventurous jams, featuring Andrew Ranieri, formerly of Yahoot Magooty... whatever happened to Jerry the Dog?

Sol Season - These guys have a serious spritual vibe that they spread through their music, but don't let that fool you, these guys have a hard edge (and a dark website) that's gaining ground in the world of original music.

Soul Cactus - More blues with an attitude. You've got to check out this band's versitility featuring the excellent harmonica stylings of Chris Raynor.

The South Bumby Allstars - This is a very interesting improvisational project, spearheaded by Anthony Cole and Matt Lapahm, formerly in Kow. When I saw them, there were members of Big Shirley and Skezag playing. Basically, this is a floating aggrigate of Orlando's great musicians who combined create something worth groovin' to.

SUNNY - Jazzy, organic and beautiful, SUNNY is known for mixing electronica and live musicians for a very enjoyable and euphoric experience. And, she's practically family, too!

SWINGERHEAD - Florida's Kings of Swing, featuring the sweet vocal stylings of Michael Andrew. I love this stuff, and these guys really know how to do it well. Being the tour monsters that they are, you can probably catch them live in a city near you.

Throcket Luther - Our musical brothers on top of the alternative Orlando scene. "The Unsung Heros of Orlando." It's fun-loving, spirited original music at its best. They had a GREAT website! Where'd they go?

Umöja - Funky afrobeat rythyms is the order for this band, led by the consumate frontman Eugene Snowden, this revolving line-up of artists, (once 22 strong!), rarely get together anymore and are definitely another one to catch when you can. Great stuff!

Venus Platt - Truely kindred spirits, the melodic harmonies and grooves of this band will put you at ease. Great original music and great people. Another up and coming band with strong local ties.

where's moo? - These young cats relocated to LA with their fresh alternative sound reminiscent of the old R.E.M. days (man, do I miss 'em). Mix a little Talking Heads in there and you've got it. Great music with a great sense of humor.
